The Washington County Amateur Radio Club held its monthly meeting on April 25, 2024, at Washington County EMS in Brenham, Texas. Members and guests gathered for an evening of discussion, updates, and fellowship centered around Amateur Radio activities in Washington County and the surrounding region.
Members reviewed several current projects and discussed plans for upcoming activities. Topics included repeater operations, educational opportunities for new operators, community outreach, and ways to strengthen the local amateur radio community.
Prior to the meeting, the club hosted an Amateur Radio License Exam Session for individuals seeking to earn or upgrade their Amateur Radio license. The Washington County Amateur Radio Club is proud to support new operators entering the hobby and advancing their operating privileges.
Congratulations to the following individuals who successfully passed an Amateur Radio license examination:
- Jack (W5YRI): Upgrade to Extra Class
- Dan (KJ5EPW): Upgrade to General Class
- Terry: New Technician License
The club would like to thank our dedicated team of Volunteer Examiners for their time and dedication in administering the examinations and helping grow the Amateur Radio community.
The Washington County Amateur Radio Club welcomes anyone interested in radio communications, emergency communications, electronics, or public service. Club meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM, and guests are always welcome.
Thank you to all of the members and guests who joined us for the meeting and continue to support Amateur Radio in Washington County.
