Whether you’re interested in public service, making friends, contesting, or just expanding your knowledge, we invite you to become a part of the Washington County Amateur Radio Club family. Everyone is welcome to join us and help keep Amateur Radio alive.
Membership has its benefits!
- Have Fun – Amateur Radio is a social hobby. By participating in club events, you will meet other hams who share your passion.
- Mentoring – Do you need help learning a new mode or just stuck on a project?
- Group Radio Events – Gathering up a crew for a POTA excursion or contest!
- Elmering – Are you ready to upgrade your license, or have a friend who wants to get licensed?
- Help with Installations – The club is a great source of expertise and opinions on where and how to mount mobile radios and equipment.
- Information – Promoting discussion of radio and technology through on-air discussions, e-mail reflectors, social media, and more.
- Legislation – Monitoring legislation at the local, state, and federal levels and reaching out when action is needed to protect our bandwidth and our hobby.
Membership Dues
- Student: $20/year (Elementary, Junior, High School, and College)
- Individual: $40/year (Single Member)
- Family: $50/year (All Licensed Amateur Radio Operators in the Household)
How To Join The Club Through HamClubOnline
The Washington County Amateur Radio Club has partnered with HamClubOnline, a service that allows us to manage our club membership and provide services and notifications to club members. Registering with HamClubOnline is free and makes managing and renewing your club membership very easy!
- Go to https://www.hamclubonline.com/
- If you already have a HamClubOnLine account, log in, if not, select “Register New” and create your personal account.
- Once at the main menu, select “Apply for Membership with a HamClubOnline Club” and then search for Club code “W5AUM”.
- Fill in the application with your information and select “Submit Application” You will be asked to pay your dues with PayPal or Square (you can use a credit card – you do not have to sign up for a PayPal account).
- You’re done! You will receive a receipt via email and we will send you some welcome information. Thank you for supporting the Washington County Amateur Radio Club.
How To Renew Your Membership Through HamClubOnline
- Go to https://www.hamclubonline.com/
- Enter your callsign and Submit
- Select the Washington County Amateur Radio CLub option (if a member of multiple clubs) and then click the blue “Renew” button.
- Follow the prompts to select the membership term and make your payment.
- You’re done! You will receive a receipt via email. Thank you for your continued support of the Washington County Amateur Radio Club.
