Whether your interest is public service, making friends, chasing contests, or simply expanding your knowledge, we invite you to become part of the Washington County Amateur Radio Club family. We are a diverse group of operators who believe amateur radio is better together, sharing knowledge, supporting one another, and keeping the hobby strong in our community. Everyone is welcome, and membership is open to all licensed amateur radio operators.
- Have Fun: Amateur radio is a social hobby. Club events are a great way to meet other operators who share your passion.
- Mentoring: Need help learning a new mode or working through a project? Experienced members are happy to help.
- Group Radio Events: From Parks On The Air (POTA) excursions to contest operations, there is always something going on.
- Elmering: Ready to upgrade your license or interested in obtaining your first? We have experienced members who can point you in the right direction.
- Installation Help: The club is a great resource for advice on mounting mobile radios and setting up equipment.
- Information Sharing: We keep members connected through on-air discussions, email lists, social media, and more.
- Legislative Advocacy: We monitor legislation at the local, state, and federal levels and take action when our frequencies and our hobby need protecting.
