Silent Keys

Our Silent Keys are far more than names on a list. They were the friends, teachers, and familiar voices who helped shape our amateur radio community in Washington County. Each operator left something of themselves on the air: knowledge shared freely, curiosity about the world, laughter during long conversations, and a willingness to help others learn and grow. Though they are no longer with us, the signals they once transmitted continue their silent journey outward, traveling through space as quiet reminders of lives well lived and friendships formed across the airwaves.

In remembering them, we celebrate not only the contributions they made within our club and community, but also the lasting echoes of their voices carried by the radio waves they set in motion. Every transmission became part of something larger, a moment of connection reaching far beyond the horizon.

Their keys may now rest in silence, but their influence endures. It lives on in the operators they mentored, the friendships they forged, and the spirit of exploration and service that continues to guide amateur radio today.
